Notre besoin de consolation est impossible à rassasier
Notre besoin de consolation est impossible à rassasier. CD Cristal GRM Ina c1010. 1991.
An ambitious acousmatic long métrage, this work, between melodrama and radio hörspiel, sets the eponymous text by Stig Dagerman (written shortly before his death in 1954) on little more than an hour. Here the cinematographic approach is a compositional idea that inspires many sound recordings and landscapes recreated for a sound theatre using "ear cinema". In a sort of instant testament, mixing windy exteriors and tormented insides, Denis Dufour delivers a moment of exceptional clarity in a stretch that is both dreamlike and concrete. Abundance and lack follow one another and overlap in a theatricality that alternates realism and fantasy thanks to a skilful work on the voice. That of an almost transparent man. Through his soul, in a lucidity combining strength and fear, the dead-ends and exaltations to which his search for happiness has led him, parade for us.
