In 1996, Jonathan Prager, still a young composer, just graduated from Denis Dufour's composition class at the Conservatoire national de région (CNR) in Lyon, conducted a very complete interview, published in three parts between 1997 and 1998 in the journal Ars Sonora.

The first is the inevitable debate on the term "acousmatic genre" and the terminology associated with it, and, under this banner, the leadership role attributed to Denis Dufour by the electroacoustic community. After the evocation of experience in promoting and existing this mode of artistic expression, the interview is devoted to the genesis of the Futura international acousmatic festival, of which Denis Dufour was one of the initiators in 1992.
